Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior-II Engineer-Validation to join the Networking and Connectivity Solutions Validation Team.

You will focus on bringing advanced connectivity devices to market, including Ethernet switches, USB hubs, PCI Express devices, and more, across multiple interfaces. You will validate designs through lab-based bring-up, characterization, and interoperability testing, collaborating with Design, Verification, Applications and Product Engineering to drive quality

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Expertise in high-speed digital design and testing.
Experience with analog/mixed-signal design and testing.
Experience with cross-functional teams and project collaboration.
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to develop hardware design specifications.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute validation strategies and test plans aligned with requirements.
Conduct lab-based validation including design bring-up and interoperability testing for high-speed connectivity devices.
Review and communicate validation results and debug findings to stakeholders.
Contribute to test environment specifications including software and lab equipment.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Verification, Applications, Marketing and Product Engineering; participate in debug workflows.
Support customer issue reproduction and escalation with Field Engineering teams.
