Job summary

BASE life science is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead migration projects in data engineering and life sciences. You will oversee cross-functional teams, manage timelines, budgets, and risks, and translate business needs into technical specifications.

This role includes client collaboration and opportunities to drive growth. Based in Copenhagen or Barcelona, you will work in a regulated industry with a strong emphasis on delivery quality, compliance, and stakeholder

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a technical project manager in life sciences or regulated areas.
Proven track record managing technically complex projects (software, IT systems, data migrations).
Experience leading developers, data engineers and data scientists.
Experience with project management tools such as JIRA.
Experience with Agile project management methodologies such as SAFe.
Strong written and spoken English.
Interest in the technical aspects of data-driven projects.
Experience with coding in Python, VBA, Java, R, SQL, C, or similar.
Experience selling projects or products to clients.
Experience working with Veeva Vault.

Responsibilities

Monitor program status including milestones, risks, issues, budgets.
Act as a delivery escalation point with clear actions and communication.
Provide executive level summaries for senior executives.
Intervene to ensure costs, timelines and quality are on track.
Develop plans and effort estimates for future projects during sales process.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven projects on time and within budget.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data needs into technical specs.
Develop project plans, timelines and budgets.
Track and report progress, identify and mitigate risks.
Foster communication between project team and stakeholders.
