  • Analyze metals and other inorganic materials using scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM/EDX).
  • Turn scientific findings into clear conclusions, reports, presentations, and practical recommendations.
  • Coordinate customer assignments involving many stakeholders, samples, and analytical methods.
  • Improve analytical methods, assure quality, and share knowledge with specialists and laboratory technicians.

You will also use scientific literature to support investigations and keep our materials knowledge and methods up to date.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • Strong materials characterization expertise, including hands-on SEM/EDX and failure analysis experience.
  • A PhD in materials science, metallurgy, or a related field is preferred.
  • The ability to independently lead complex technical investigations from problem definition to recommendation.
  • Strong scientific problem-solving skills and a practical approach to laboratory work.
  • Clear English communication skills and the ability to communicate and engage stakeholders at all levels.

Experience from an industrial environment or technical consultancy is highly desirable. You are also curious, collaborative, and able to turn scientific knowledge into practical engineering solutions.
