Job summary

Terma Group is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to contribute to mission‑critical aircrew protection systems. You will develop software for resource‑constrained platforms installed in aircraft and help ensure safety, reliability, and quality across the full lifecycle.

You will collaborate with software, systems, test and hardware teams, influence architecture, and implement modern development practices, including code reviews, Git, and automated testing.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with modern C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience with modern development practices: code reviews, Git, and automated testing in build pipelines.
• Comfortable working close to hardware and navigating performance/resource constraints.
• Hold a relevant technical degree or bring equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience in aerospace/defense is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software across the full lifecycle from requirements and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and long‑term improvements.
• Collaborate with colleagues across software, systems, test, and hardware to build complete and reliable solutions.

The systems you will work on are physically installed in an aircraft. We develop software for resource-constrained platforms that aircrew depend on when going into harm’s way. You will develop embedded software for mission‑critical systems across the full software lifecycle from early requirements and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and long‑term improvements. To succeed in this role, you:

• Have strong experience with modern C++ as your primary tool for delivering robust, reliable embedded systems
• Are experienced with modern development practices — code reviews, Git, and automated testing in build pipelines are familiar parts of your workflow
• Are comfortable working close to hardware and navigating performance and resource constraints
• Hold a relevant technical degree or bring equivalent hands‑on experience

Furthermore, experience with real‑time systems and the aerospace or defense domain is an advantage but not a requirement.
