SimCorp A/S is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Valuation & Market Data team. The role covers full development lifecycle, from user stories to testing and support, with a 40/60 split between C# and APL work and exposure to APIs/Web APIs in a SOA and Azure environment.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will become part of the Valuation & Market Data product area within SimCorp's Product Division, responsible for delivering functionality that enables clients to make investment decisions with our back-office applications.
The Valuation & Market Data product area consists of four teams spread across several geographical locations.
You will contribute across all stages of the development lifecycle, including creating and defining user stories, designing, coding, testing, writing automated tests, performing code reviews, and providing customer support. Someone who Belief that quality is a shared responsibility and willingness to participate in activities such as test design, test automation, exploratory testing, and defect analysis.
The ideal candidate should have C# expertise, a passion for delivering high‑quality, scalable software, and an eagerness to learn APL (A Programming Language). Prior experience with APL isn’t required—we provide comprehensive training and a supportive environment to help you succeed. While most development in this area is done in APL, but the team’s work is roughly split 40/60 between C# and APL tasks. In detail, the team is also currently working with APIs/Web APIs, follows service‑oriented architecture, and utilizes Azure technologies (Azure Service Bus). Our company also partly owns Dyalog APL, ensuring the language remains actively maintained and relevant.
From time to time, teams may require additional support in quality assurance activities. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is eager to broaden their skills beyond software development and grow their knowledge of business domains, quality assurance, testing strategies, and test automation. You should expect to contribute to testing and quality assurance activities when needed, as quality is a shared responsibility across the team.
