Job summary

Unity Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Developer for the Adaptive Performance team. You will tackle cross‑platform performance challenges and work across Unity, native code, graphics, and device technologies to shape the next generation of adaptive performance.

You’ll profile CPU/GPU/memory and collaborate with multiple teams, mentoring others and contributing to technical design and testing. Strong debugging and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong software development experience with C# and C++, including large and unfamiliar codebases.
• Deep understanding of CPU, GPU, memory, threading, and runtime performance.
• Hands-on experience with profiling and diagnostic tools such as Unity Profiler, Xcode Instruments, Perfetto.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills able to own complex problems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Investigate CPU, GPU, memory, thermal, and runtime performance issues across Unity and supported platforms.
• Design and develop Adaptive Performance features to improve runtime stability and efficiency.
• Profile applications and engine workloads to identify bottlenecks and turn data into solutions.
• Collaborate with Unity teams, platform holders, hardware partners, and customers.
• Contribute to design, implementation, testing, code reviews, mentoring, and AI-assisted workflows.
