As we grow, so does the amount of customer trust we're responsible for — and that's where you come in. We're looking for a Senior Security & Compliance Engineer to take ownership of how Factbird protects its systems, its data, and its customers' trust.
This is a hands‑on, senior role: you'll need the technical depth to dig into our infrastructure yourself, plus the judgment and communication skills to drive change across the company. You won't be handed a fully built program — you'll help build it, which means proactively auditing what we have today, figuring out what matters most, and making the case for what to improve first.
This is a senior position in Factbird's engineering team. You'll be trusted to make architecture and process calls, mentor others, and represent security in rooms where the details matter, connecting technical decisions to customer trust and business risk, not just closing tickets.
You’ll do well here if you take a pragmatic, risk‑based approach, and if you’re as comfortable influencing people who don’t report to you as you are digging through logs yourself.
We're looking for someone with the technical depth to dig into our AWS environment and codebase themselves, and the pragmatism to know the difference between what's technically ideal and what's right for a company our size. You've ideally worked in small companies before and know what it's like to build a security program from a standing start without a dedicated team behind you.
We welcome applicants from people eager to move to Denmark so long as you already have the legal right to live and work here. We can contribute to relocation costs for the right candidate.
People are at the heart of everything we build. We believe great products come from empowered teams—and we work hard to create an environment where you can do your best work and have space for life beyond it.
At Factbird, we believe that great work starts with people feeling respected, valued, and included. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to building a workplace where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
All employment decisions at Factbird are made based on business needs, role requirements, and individual qualifications, without discrimination based on gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital or family status, nationality, ethnic or social origin, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected under applicable European and local employment laws.
