Job summary

Black Swans Exist ApS in Copenhagen is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead peptide chemistry activities, deliver macrocyclic libraries, and advance automated chemistry workflows. You will work with Platform Chemistry, Data Science and Discovery teams to ensure designs are synthetically feasible and translate into robust lab methods.

Experience with AI-guided design is a plus. A PhD in chemistry and 5+ years of industry experience are required; strong communication and cross-disciplinary

Qualifications

• PhD in chemistry or related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with peptide chemistry and macrocycles.
• Experience with automated synthesis equipment and analytical techniques.
• Ability to plan, execute and troubleshoot complex workflows.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute peptide synthesis and macrocyclic library production.
• Troubleshoot synthesis, purification and analytics challenges.
• Deliver high-quality chemistry across multiple projects.
• Improve synthetic methods and platform workflows.
• Collaborate with Design and Data Science on AI-driven designs.
• Represent Platform Chemistry in multidisciplinary teams.
• Support project planning, prioritisation and decision-making.
• Improve experimental quality, efficiency and reproducibility.
