Job summary

DSV is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to drive IT transformation and define global architecture principles. You will translate complex business challenges into scalable designs for delivery across management levels.

The role involves collaborating with Solution Architects, Finance & Group Systems, IT vendors, and the Global Enterprise Architecture team to create roadmaps and ensure adherence to architecture guidelines.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience architecting or leading complicated projects.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to articulate architectural decisions.
• Experience with API integration, legacy to microservice, event management, and SDLC.
• Fluency in English and ability to communicate across management levels.

Job description

• Drive IT transformation initiatives and address business challenges with key stakeholders across all management levels
• Define and enforce global DSV architecture principles
• Analyze complex business challenges and requirements and produce designs and specifications
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Finance & Group Systems, business stakeholders, IT vendors, and DSV’s Global Enterprise Architecture team
• Challenge, influence and support stakeholders to solve issues and realize the company vision
• Specify technologies and application architecture for application development, configuration and implementation
• Design and communicate architectures for new solutions while ensuring adherence to design guidelines
• Identify solution scenarios and translate them into architectural models and roadmaps aligned with DSV’s guiding principles
• Work with delivery teams to develop sustainable and achievable solutions
• Help verify delivered systems are consistent with agreed architecture
• Produce and maintain solution documentation according to DSV standards and IT strategy
• Drive solution implementation according to architectural designs
• Present solution designs to expert forums and obtain approval
• Advocate for architectural principles and provide knowledge resources to stakeholders
• Continuously improve and document the existing architecture

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and/or equivalent work experience
• 3-6 years of experience architecting or leading complicated projects
• Strong analytical skills in mastering multi-functional highly scalable systems
• Broad understanding of computer science, modern technologies and methodologies, multi-tenant applications and database technologies
• Hands-on experience as solution architect
• Proven results of strong communication skills to articulate, rationalize, visualize, and document architectural decisions and designs
• Work experience with several of the following: API integration, Legacy to Micro-service, Event Management, Agile development paradigm, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Business process management, architectural modelling
• Strong ability to understand complex business problems, and translate and communicate them to all layers of the organization
• Ambitious and creative, taking new approaches to problem solving
• Ability to act as a system thinker with a holistic approach
• Pragmatic approach to balance transformation towards a to-be architecture while maintaining current services
• Ability to communicate and switch between levels of abstraction depending on the target group and/or project stage
