Job summary

Inpay, based in Copenhagen, seeks a seasoned CRO‑level risk leader to own senior stakeholder management on risk and translate risk into actionable decisions. You will architect our AI risk framework with governance and controls, and model risk using AI to produce early warnings for better decisions.

You will design and run business‑wide risk assessments, define KRIs, and be the CRO’s right hand while deputising on risk topics.

Qualifications

• 7 to 9 years of risk experience with banking background.
• Hands-on risk work experience, not only oversight.
• Knowledge of credit, operational, compliance, financial crime, third‑party and technology risk.
• Proven ability to model risk using AI and apply it in practice.
• Experience designing and running risk assessments with KRIs.
• Governance maturity: build, run and challenge risk committees, policies and controls.
• Deep expertise and willingness to share with senior risk leaders.
• Strong senior stakeholder skills from executive team to board.

Responsibilities

• Own senior stakeholder management on risk.
• Be the trusted risk counterpart to colleagues and the executive team.
• Translate risk into clear decisions, options and recommendations.
• Architect our AI framework for risk.
• Design and own the framework for how AI is used in risk management, with governance and controls built in.
• Model risk using AI, turning data into early warnings and better decisions.
• Run business-wide risk assessments.
• Conduct risk assessments across the whole business, covering a broad variety of risk types.
• Define, monitor and report KRIs that show where we are heading, not only where we have been.
• Be the CRO’s right hand and deputise for the Chief Risk Officer.
• Support and help running Take an active seat on the Risk Committee with proposals.
• Share know-how with the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, bringing practical experience.
