Qualifications

• Degree in economics, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with regulatory analysis in the energy sector is preferred.

• Excellent written and spoken English communication; adapt content for different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct energy economics and regulatory analyses for electricity markets, offshore wind, and the wider energy system.

Welcome to Regulatory Affairs

Join us in this role where you'll use energy economic analysis to develop clear regulatory positions on electricity markets, offshore wind, and the energy system. You'll turn complex questions into practical recommendations and communicate your insights to colleagues, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.

You'll be part of the Regulatory Affairs Energy Markets team, where you together with your colleagues will develop regulatory solutions at the intersection of offshore wind, grids, and electricity markets. You'll join a highly experienced team of five advisors and one student, collaborating with colleagues across our markets and business units, public authorities, EU institutions, and industry organisations. As a team, we share knowledge, help each other, and value curiosity, clear thinking, and open dialogue.

You'll play an important role in:

• performing energy economic and regulatory analyses of electricity markets, offshore wind, and the wider energy system
• identifying the right questions, evaluating complex evidence, and developing clear recommendations and strong narratives
• developing regulatory positions and solutions for the interface between offshore wind, the grid, and electricity markets
• presenting analytical findings and recommendations clearly to both specialist and non-specialist audiences
• engaging and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders

To succeed in the role, you:

• have a completed degree in economics, engineering, or a related field
• have experience with regulatory analysis and/or regulation of the energy sector
• are motivated by energy economic analysis and have knowledge of the energy system, with electricity market knowledge being an advantage
• use a rational, structured approach to complex problems and are motivated by translating analysis into clear conclusions and recommendations
• communicate clearly and persuasively in written and spoken English, and are motivated by adapting complex content for different audiences
• enjoy building networks and working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
• collaborate openly, share your knowledge, and are ready to support colleagues across topics when priorities change.
