Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Test & Commissioning Manager to lead planning, readiness and execution of test regimes across railway systems, SCADA, telecoms, and IT/OT. You will coordinate interfaces, manage defects and ensure safe, evidence-based commissioning before handover to operations.

Bring senior T&C leadership with a proven track record in multi-supplier, safety-critical environments. The role supports a flexible hybrid work model and requires strong stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Senior T&C experience in railway systems.
• Knowledge of test readiness and defect management.
• Ability to coordinate multiple systems within constrained window schedules.

Responsibilities

• Define T&C strategy, test stages and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate T&C supervisors, engineers and suppliers across interfaces.
• Ensure test procedures and equipment are prepared and risk controls in place.
• Track progress, defects, retests and commissioning certificates.
• Lead safe energisation, integration testing and handover to operations.
