Job summary

Plecto in Aarhus is seeking a Senior Python/Django Engineer to design, build, and optimize the backend of our real-time performance platform. You will leverage AI tooling to speed development, improve code quality, and drive architectural decisions.

Collaborate with product and data teams across the globe, own end-to-end backend delivery, and mentor peers while shipping scalable services using PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Python and Django building production-grade systems.
• Proven track record of using AI code assistants to boost development velocity, improve code quality, and automate workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and deploying applications in cloud environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring/observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize the backend of our real-time performance platform.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver scalable features.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate feature iteration and automated tests while maintaining quality.
• Take end-to-end ownership of backend architecture from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Mentor teammates and share best practices on Python and AI-assisted engineering.
