Job summary

UNOPS Copenhagen headquarters is seeking a Senior Policy Advisor to support the Executive Director in navigating multilateral reforms and SDGs. You will provide strategic policy analysis, engage with UN system partners, and represent UNOPS in international settings.

The role requires political acumen, strong analytical skills, and a track record in intergovernmental affairs; travel to New York will be frequent as part of global engagement.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, economics or related field.
• Required: Master’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Extensive experience providing strategic policy advice and drafting briefing materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level political analysis to inform executive decision-making and organizational positioning.
• Advise on development and humanitarian issues, multilateral reform processes, and UN80 reform agenda.
• Monitor global trends and prepare strategic briefs, talking points and assessments.
• Represent UNOPS in high-level meetings and international events and coordinate external engagement.
