Job summary

Aeven A/S in Copenhagen is seeking a Senior Operations Specialist to support and develop an enterprise infrastructure, including HCI, backup and storage platforms shaping the data center backbone.

You will plan upgrades, automate bulk tasks via REST APIs, collaborate across service lines, ensure compliance with ITIL processes, and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• 5+ years advanced level experience in HCI, backup and storage technologies and principles.
• Thorough understanding of HCI, backup and storage design principles, requirements, specification, and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in managing and operating HCI, Backup and storage hardware infrastructure components.
• Experience with communicating, presenting and sharing knowledge to stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in scripting (Python, Powershell or similar) and automating tasks.
• Understanding of ITIL framework.
• Education: Bachelor or master degree or equivalent work-related experience.
• Danish and English language skills on professional level (orally and in writing).
• Eligibility to obtain and keep PET Security Clearance during employment.

Responsibilities

As our new Senior Operations Specialist you will play a crucial role within the HCI, backup and storage infrastructure. You are responsible for supporting and developing an ecosystem of an enterprise infrastructure, platforms and technologies shaping the backbone of the core data center infrastructure.

Your responsibilities:

• Planning, implementation, and execution of upgrades and patching ensuring no downtime, compatibility with existing systems, and adherence to security best practices and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with interests and stakeholders across service lines and predefine HCI, backup and storage service requirements – both technical and in collaboration with compliance
• Develop strategies for HCI, backup and storage services based on current and future customer requirements and upcoming technologies
• Develop and execute scripts based on REST API functions to automate bulk tasks on HCI, backup and storage technologies into other IT platforms and data lakes
• Ensure compliance with assets, changes, incidents and problem management processes and policies.

Your background:

• 5+ years advanced level experience in HCI, backup and storage technologies and principles
• Thorough understanding of HCI, backup and storage design principles, requirements, specification, and testing methodologies
• Proficiency in managing and operating HCI, Backup and storage hardware infrastructure components
• Experience and solid understanding in network technologies, protocols and understanding of network principals in a large-scale HCI, file and object storage infrastructure
• Experience with communicating, presenting and sharing excellent knowledge and support to stakeholders at all levels of an organization
• Experience in scripting (Python, Powershell or similar) and automating tasks
• Proven ability to diagnose and remediate complex server/client connectivity issues
• Understanding of ITIL framework
• Education: Bachelor or master degree or equivalent work-related experience
• Danish and English language skills on professional level (orally and in writing)
• Eligibility to obtain and keep PET Security Clearance during employment (this includes a permanent stay in EU and/or NATO countries within the last 7 years, or longer)
