Job summary

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Medical Director, Clinical Development in Endocrine & Rare Diseases. Based in Hellerup, Denmark, you will drive trial design, safety monitoring, and data analysis within the Endocrine & Rare Disease Medical Sciences group.

You will report to the VP of Clinical Science (US) and be available for evening meetings across time zones, with occasional international travel. The role requires leadership of medical monitors and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• MD degree required; PhD preferred.
• 5–7 years of industry experience in clinical development.
• Experience designing and monitoring clinical trials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to handle confidential and regulated information.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and oversight of the Clinical Development Plan.
• Serve as Medical Monitor for trials and ensure study integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across regions.
• Contribute to regulatory strategy and submissions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of science and regulatory guidance.
• Lead teams of medical monitors and study teams.
