Job summary

iO Associates are partnering with an innovative space technology organisation to recruit a Mid Senior / Senior Mechanical Engineer. The role covers the full satellite lifecycle from design to launch preparation and requires strong mechanical design and analysis skills.

You will work with systems, electronics, software and integration teams across commercial, governmental and research sectors, delivering robust mechanical solutions for advanced satellite programmes.

Qualifications

• Design and analysis of mechanical structures for satellite systems.
• Experience with structural and thermal modeling and testing.
• Proficient in CAD and PDM systems; knowledge of materials.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical structures, assemblies, and mechanisms for satellite systems.
• Perform structural and thermal analyses to validate designs against mission and environmental requirements.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, and technical reports.
• Conduct technical assessments, feasibility studies, and design trade-offs.
• Support prototype development, assembly, integration, and verification activities.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout product development lifecycle.
• Participate in environmental and qualification testing campaigns.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
