Job summary

iO Associates partners with a leading space technology organisation to recruit a Mid Senior / Senior Mechanical Engineer. You will work on next‑gen satellite platforms, from initial design through testing and launch preparation, collaborating with systems, electronics and software teams on advanced missions.

The role covers mechanical design, structural/thermal analysis and integration, with international travel between Denmark and Luxembourg.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–6 years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• Strong background in mechanical design and structural analysis.
• Knowledge of thermal analysis methodologies.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with PDM systems and material/manufacturing awareness.
• Experience in space or regulated engineering environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of satellite integration and verification processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical structures, assemblies, and mechanisms for satellite systems.
• Perform structural and thermal analyses to validate designs.
• Produce detailed drawings, manufacturing docs, and reports.
• Conduct feasibility studies and design trade-offs.
• Support prototype development, assembly, integration and verification.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the product lifecycle.
• Participate in environmental and qualification testing campaigns.
• Contribute to process improvement and engineering best practices.
