Job Description

Just imagine shaping how materials move through LEGO® factories, from first concept to everyday operation. Then make it real.

As Sr Logistics Functional Specialist, you’ll connect factory needs, logistics technology and supplier solutions, helping the LEGO® manufacturing network create scalable material-flow and warehouse solutions for future factory growth.

Core Responsibilities
  • Own and develop the functional concept for end-to-end material flow across inbound, storage, internal transport, production supply, packaging and outbound logistics, ensuring that the different flows operate as one coherent factory system.
  • Translate operational needs and future capacity assumptions into clear functional requirements, process descriptions, flow logic, performance criteria and interface requirements that provide a robust basis for design, sourcing and contracting.
  • Maintain the end-to-end functional view across equipment, automation and digital solutions, ensuring that individual technologies and supplier scopes work together and support the intended operating model.
  • Define and govern functional interfaces and responsibilities across warehouse systems, material-handling equipment, production areas, WMS/WES/WCS solutions and external suppliers, avoiding gaps between individual work packages and contracts.
  • Challenge concepts and supplier proposals from a functional and operational perspective, assessing capacity, flow, exception handling, resilience, scalability, maintainability and impact on upstream and downstream operations.
  • Ensure requirement traceability and functional quality throughout the project lifecycle, from concept and RFI/RFQ through design reviews, functional specifications, FAT, iFAT, SAT, commissioning, ramp-up and final operational handover.
  • Act as a senior functional sparring partner and go-to specialist for project teams, factory operations, Logistics Technology, Digital, Procurement and suppliers, bringing practical logistics experience into complex decisions and issue resolution.
  • Capture learning and strengthen reusable logistics principles, requirements and standards so that proven solutions and lessons from Greenfield and Brownfield projects can be applied across the LEGO Manufacturing network.

Collaboration sits at the heart of the role. You’ll build connections across Logistics Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Digital, Product Teams, Procurement and project organisations, while working closely with factory colleagues, automation suppliers and system integrators to build, rebuild and inspire better solutions together.

Do you have what it takes?
  • Experience designing and implementing warehouse automation, manufacturing logistics or intralogistics solutions in complex operations.
  • Comfortable connecting material-flow processes with WMS, WES, WCS and logistics automation platforms.
  • Experience translating operational needs into functional requirements, concepts and measurable design criteria.
  • Collaborative approach to building networks, solving problems and influencing decisions across factory and supplier teams.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Greenfield factories, Brownfield transformations or industrialising warehouse automation technologies.
  • Familiarity with supplier evaluation, procurement processes and standardisation across an international manufacturing network.
  • Relevant education in logistics, supply chain, industrial, mechanical, automation or production engineering is welcomed, while equivalent professional experience can bring just as much value. You’ll high level English and flexibility to travel internationally, where you’ll keep discovering new perspectives through collaboration with factory colleagues, suppliers and specialists across our global network.
