Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Senior Technology Lead LNG to shape operations of methane-fuelled vessels, bringing deep hands-on expertise in LNG engines, storage tanks, vaporization units, and BOG management from yard to water.

You will lead detailed design reviews, commissioning, gas trials, and first-of-class deliveries while collaborating with shipyards, class societies and global teams to ensure safe, reliable service and ongoing innovation across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Proven operational experience on methane-fuelled vessels.
• Detailed understanding of methane fuel and gas‑handling systems.
• Newbuild, commissioning, and first‑of‑class delivery track record.
• Strong collaboration and cross‑functional teamwork.
• Safety and quality mindset with proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Shape operations from day one during design reviews and commissioning.
• Own the detail design interface for engines, FGSS, tanks and gas handling.
• Lead hands-on commissioning, gas‑up, cooldown and sea trials.
• Collaborate with shipyards, class societies and global partners.
• Lead troubleshooting of methane system and machinery issues.
• Provide on-site mentorship to crews during trials and operations.
