Job summary

Maersk is seeking an experienced engineer with deep methane-fuelled vessel expertise to lead operations from design through commissioning to reliable on-water performance. You will drive fuel gas systems, tanks, and gas-handling design integration, challenging yards and OEMs to ensure operability and safety.

Join a global, cross-functional team to lead hands-on commissioning, gas-up, cooldown, and sea trials, while mentoring crew and collaborating with shipyards, class societies, and partners

Qualifications

• Proven experience with methane-fuelled vessels and gas handling systems.
• Hands-on operations, commissioning, and performance optimization.
• Strong collaboration with yards, OEMs, and class societies.

Responsibilities

• Shape operations from day one for methane-fuelled vessels, from design review to reliable on-water operation.
• Own the detailed design interface for engines, FGSS, tanks, and gas handling systems.
• Lead hands-on commissioning, gas-up, cooldown, and sea trials.
• Collaborate with global teams, shipyards, class societies and external partners.
• Lead troubleshooting on methane systems and provide practical solutions.
• Provide on-site mentorship to crew and reach remote support when vessels are trading.
