Job summary

Ascendis Pharma, a global biopharmaceutical company, seeks a Senior Legal Counsel (R&D) to support the full product lifecycle from discovery through commercial supply. You will draft, review and negotiate a broad range of contracts with laboratories, CMOs, CROs, hospitals and universities, ensuring compliant, value-driven solutions.

You will collaborate with our global R&D teams, advise on IP matters, and help advance our TransCon-based programs while integrating IT and digital health

Qualifications

• At least 7–8 years as in-house counsel or law firm attorney in pharma or life sciences.
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex pharma contracts.
• Experience supporting Product Supply and Quality and CMOs/CDMOs; advantage if with CMC.
• Clinical trial agreements experience including site agreements and CRO contracts.
• Solid understanding of IP rights in contractual contexts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as legal partner to Product Supply and Quality on contracts and supply chain matters.
• Negotiate and review trial site agreements, informed consent forms, and vendor contracts.
• Draft, review, and negotiate confidentiality, service, research, license, collaboration, and material transfer agreements.
• Provide legal support to Research, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory Affairs as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Denmark, the US, and Germany to improve templates and processes.
