Job summary

Zealand Pharma A/S in Denmark is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician to run cell-based assays to screen candidate drugs and contribute to optimization and automation of laboratory workflows.

You will work with a team of scientists in Molecular Pharmacology, generate high-quality in vitro data, maintain lab equipment, and document work in ELN, supporting projects across drug discovery.

Qualifications

• Education as laboratory technologist, laboratory technician, medical laboratory scientist or similar with at least 3 years of experience
• Proficiency in cell-based assays, including intracellular signaling assays
• Experience with assay automation, including setup and use of liquid handlers
• Hands-on experience with cultivation of mammalian cells
• Strong documentation skills and proficiency with data analysis in Excel, GraphPad Prism or similar software

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly in vitro assays to assess efficacy of new peptide drug candidates
• Contribute to the development and improvement of laboratory workflows, focusing on automation of cell-based assays
• Plan and execute practical laboratory work
• Process instrument data in specialized software and databases
• Document laboratory work in the electronic laboratory notebook system
• Maintain the lab and lab equipment
• Collaborate across departments to ensure pace, quality, and exchange of methods and ideas
