Job summary

Veritaz AB in Sweden is seeking a skilled Fullstack Engineer to design, develop and operate scalable Java backend services, build and maintain APIs and microservices, and contribute to a standardized data model for unified customer context.

You will work with React, TypeScript and Next.js on the frontend, leverage Google Cloud Platform for deployment, and own features end-to-end from coding to production, including testing with Jest and React Testing Library.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java backend development.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience designing and developing integrations and APIs.
• Good understanding of distributed systems and service-to-service communication.
• Experience with routing services or complex integration environments.
• Experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with Next.js.
• Experience building production-grade applications.
• Good understanding of performance, security, observability and accessibility.
• Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate scalable Java backend services.
• Build and maintain APIs and microservice-based solutions.
• Develop integration and routing services connecting multiple systems.
• Work hands-on with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Design service-to-service communication and distributed solutions.
• Support AI-driven and human-assisted customer service experiences.
• Contribute to a standardized data model for unified customer context.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and data teams.
• Contribute to technical architecture and platform improvements.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for performance, security and observability.
• Develop and maintain frontend functionality using React and TypeScript.
• Work with Next.js, including SSR, SSG, routing and data fetching.
• Develop automated tests using Jest and React Testing Library.
• Contribute to integration, component and production-level testing.
• Take ownership and independently drive technical work forward.
