Job summary

FLEXECHARGE in Copenhagen is seeking a senior software engineer to build TypeScript microservices that talk to edge hardware like chargers, batteries, and inverters. You will work close to real devices and ensure reliability even when networks or devices falter.

The role blends web/cloud toolchains with OT integration, using Docker, MQTT, Modbus TCP, and OCPP. You will mentor peers, shape performance-critical paths, and gradually move some services to compiled languages while remaining inside

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of professional software development.
• Proficient in a compiled language (Go/C/C++/Rust/C#/Java).
• Proficiency in a scripting language (TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python).
• Experience with business logic involving stateful calculations and recovery.
• Comfort with asynchronous/event-driven systems talking to unreliable peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain TypeScript microservices and business logic (control algorithms, scheduling, decision-making).
• Develop device drivers for chargers, batteries, and inverters over Modbus TCP.
• Work with OCPP and ramp up integration.
• Run services in containers at the edge, connect via MQTT/pub-sub to cloud backend.
• Profile and optimise software on constrained edge hardware.
• Mentor and pair with colleagues on integrations and software craft.
