Job summary

Monta ApS in Copenhagen is seeking a Jun/Mid Level Backend Engineer to own backend services in the NetOps domain, focusing on OCPP and charge point interactions, with a hands-on approach and ownership from day one.

You will debug field issues, improve observability, participate in on-call, and collaborate across Product, Support and Ops. The role emphasizes delivering reliable systems and embracing AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years backend engineering experience or prod exposure.
• Comfortable with JVM languages (Kotlin preferred; Java okay).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services in OCPP and charge point domain.
• Debug field issues by inspecting OCPP traffic and emulator repros.
• Improve observability with metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
• Participate in on-call when ramped up.
• Automate manual tasks to scale operations.
• Collaborate with Product, Support, and Ops.
