The role emphasizes leading architecture for cloud-native data ingest, driving features to detect fraud and market manipulation, and mentoring engineers while advancing streaming architectures and a graphing platform.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading cloud-native services-based systems on AWS or GCP.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading cross-team projects.
• Ability to align technical execution with product and design partners and ship quickly.
• Strong OO programming background, primarily Java and TypeScript.
• Extensive backend/frontend experience with leadership roles.
• Takes ownership of ideas from inception to production.
• Good understanding of frontend and backend best practices.
• AI integration experience in customer-facing products or infra.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and maintenance of cloud-native data ingest and aggregation processes that intake gigabytes of data per day.
• Drive delivery of features across our product suite that detect activities for market manipulation, fraud, behavioural patterning, and more.
• Own and scale high-performance services on AWS that handle thousands of requests per second.
• Lead the team's modernization towards a streaming architecture, setting technical direction and best practices.
• Own and drive the direction of our graphing platform used across products to visualize insights and data.
• Debug and resolve production issues across multiple systems and services, guiding the team through complex challenges.
• Mentor and grow engineers across the team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
