Job description

Help build the platform that golf venues around the world run their business on. We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join the team behind Trackman Bookings & Payments, a multi-tenant SaaS platform covering everything from course and simulator bookings to memberships, pricing, and payments, both online and in person. This is a role for someone who enjoys working across the whole stack and likes getting deep into a genuinely complex domain.

What you'll do
  • Build features end to end, from the booking and checkout flows players use to the back-office tools venue staff work in every day. That means working across a Next.js /React frontend, a Node.js backend, and the MySQL data model underneath.

  • Work in a large, mature product that we are actively modernising, including an ongoing migration to TypeScript. You'll take pieces of that work and carry them through alongside feature delivery.

  • Help raise our testing bar. Automated coverage is limited today, and we want it to grow with the code we touch.

  • Work closely with UI/UX on how features look and behave, and with Product and QA on scope, edge cases, and quality.

  • Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions, and help shape how the team solves problems.

What you bring
  • 4+ years of professional experience building and maintaining production web applications. You might be early in a senior role today, or ready to take that step.

  • Strong commercial experience with JavaScript and TypeScript on both sides of the stack: React (ideally Next.js) and Node.js.

  • Comfort working in a large existing codebase. You enjoy improving code you didn’t write, and you’re as willing to work in older JavaScript as in new TypeScript.

  • A good grasp of REST APIs and relational data modelling.

  • A pragmatic approach to testing and CI/CD.

  • Good communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to explain technical choices to non-engineering colleagues.

You don't need to arrive with a modernisation master plan. We have a direction. We're looking for someone who will take a piece of it, make good decisions in the detail.

Nice to have
  • Experience with payment platforms or e-commerce / in-person payment flows (how gateways, acquirers, and schemes fit together), or with financial back-office concerns such as refunds, payouts, reconciliation, or reporting.

  • Experience building or operating multi-tenant SaaS.

  • Experience with Strapi, or another convention-heavy Node.js backend framework.

  • Experience with Redux and RTK Query at scale, or with migrating legacy frontend state management.

  • An interest in golf or sports technology.
