Job summary

Factbird is hiring a versatile full‑stack engineer to own features end to end across frontend and backend. You’ll work on React interfaces and services in TypeScript, Node.js, and Rust, operating within a large AWS environment. A Nix-backed development flow and IaC with AWS CDK are part of daily life.

You’ll contribute to architecture, mentor others, and help shape technical standards while collaborating across Copenhagen and the US teams.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience since finishing a relevant Masters program.
• Full stack capabilities across frontend (React) and backend (Rust/Node.js).
• Comfort with AWS or another major cloud provider.
• Proven track record of shipping features independently.
• Excellent communication in English with engineers and non-engineers.

Responsibilities

• Operate within a Nix-backed ecosystem from development tooling to build artifacts.
• Own features end to end—from idea to shipped, tested production code.
• Build frontend in React and backend in TypeScript on Node.js and Rust in a multi-account AWS setup.
• Write infrastructure as code (AWS CDK) for the systems you build.
