Job summary

Ambu A/S is seeking a Senior FP&A Business Partner to own financial planning and performance management in a global MedTech company. You will translate complex data into insights for senior management and shape FP&A, Commercial Finance, and Strategic Finance activities across the organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 6-8 years of experience in budgeting, forecasting and performance management in complex organizations.
• Experience in a global organization with cross-functional planning.
• Ability to prepare analyses and presentations for Executive Leadership Teams and Boards.
• Experience driving projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to navigate across functions.
• Analytical, structured, proactive with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

• Drive cross-functional planning and performance management with Finance, Commercial, Operations, and leadership teams.
• Analyze business performance and provide actionable insights and decision support to senior management.

• Identify and implement improvements to FP&A processes and reporting using digital solutions and AI tools.
• Support strategic initiatives including finance transformation and ERP transformation.

Key responsibilities

As a Senior FP&A Business Partner, you will join the FP&A team within Business Finance & Analytics, covering FP&A, Commercial Finance, Strategic Finance, Operational Finance, and BI & Data Science. Reporting to the Senior FP&A Manager, you will play an important role in shaping Ambu’s financial planning and performance management processes while contributing to executive decision-making across the organization.

In this highly visible role, you will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Operations, and Executive Management. You will own key planning activities, drive performance insights, and support cross-functional initiatives that contribute to Ambu's continued growth and transformation. The role offers a unique opportunity to combine financial expertise and business partnering in an international environment with exposure to senior leadership and strategic priorities.

This position provides an excellent platform for further development within Business and Strategic Finance.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Owning key elements of the annual financial planning cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and target setting.
• Driving parts of cross-functional planning and performance management processes in close collaboration with Finance, Commercial, Operations, and functional leadership teams.
• Analyzing business performance and providing actionable insights, recommendations, and decision support to senior management.
• Preparing and presenting financial analyses and performance updates for Executive Management while driving management and Board reporting processes to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent delivery.
• Identifying and implementing improvements to FP&A processes, reporting, and performance management, leveraging digital solutions and AI tools such as Copilot.
• Supporting strategic and transformational initiatives, including finance transformation, process optimization, performance improvement programs, data-driven decision support, and selected activities related to Ambu's multi-year ERP transformation.

Suggested candidate profile

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are, however, likely to succeed in this position if you combine strong financial expertise with a genuine interest in understanding the business behind the numbers.

You likely bring experience from FP&A, Corporate Finance, Business Finance, Management Consulting, or a similar environment where you have supported decision-making through financial planning, performance management, and business partnering. Additionally, you:

• Hold a Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Have 6-8 years of experience driving budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes in complex organizations.
• Have experience working in a global organization where commercial, operational, and financial performance are closely interconnected and require cross-functional planning and performance management.
• Are comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders and preparing analyses and presentations for Executive Leadership Teams and/or Boards of Directors.
• Have experience driving projects or workstreams involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Build trust and credibility through strong communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to navigate effectively across functions and organizational levels.
• Are analytical, structured, and proactive, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience with Power BI, Copilot, or other AI-enabled finance tools is considered an advantage.
