Job summary

Arup Copenhagen is seeking a Senior Façade Engineer to lead façade and building envelope projects across Denmark and beyond. You will manage projects and junior engineers, translating client requirements into effective delivery strategies while collaborating with architects and engineers to ensure design quality and code compliance.

You’ll contribute to developing a high-performance team, support bids, and drive sustainable, innovative solutions for iconic projects within a multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
• Experience of leading your discipline on complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of sector specific legislation, code requirements and design guidance.
• Knowledge of key suppliers and manufacturers serving this discipline and the products available.
• Capable of undertaking facade design and engineering from Concept to Contract issue.
• An understanding of construction phase elements.
• Ability to work with a range of clients and to represent Arup at a senior level.
• Ability to support in the preparation and presentation of bids.
• Manage others in the development and implementation of strategies, projects and research initiatives.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills; creative, collaborative and engaging.
• Strong competencies in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF; BIM and digital transformation familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own projects and junior engineers to deliver quality façade engineering solutions on time and on budget.
• Take a lead design role in facade and building envelope projects, standalone or multi-disciplinary.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure aesthetically and technically compliant designs.
• Translate client requirements into clear project delivery approaches.
• Assist development of a high-performance team through knowledge sharing.
• Support in bid preparation and client development activities.
• Deliver a diverse portfolio from concept to handover for landmark projects.
