Job summary

3Shape A/S in Copenhagen seeks a Senior Embedded Software Developer to drive real-time 3D computer vision on cross-platform targets. You will build high-performance C++ and shader code, collaborating with hardware engineers to extract maximum capability from ARM and x86 devices.

The role offers a collaborative, research-driven environment with experts in vision, signal processing and mathematics, focused on leading-edge reconstruction software for dental applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional C++ development on performance-critical applications.
• Solid experience with GPU programming in GLSL.
• Proven experience with streaming and tiling strategies for high performance on devices with limited cache.
• Deep understanding of how compiled code maps to hardware (CPU pipelines, memory access patterns, caching and vectorization) on ARM and x86.
• Experience in computer vision, ideally with registration, filtering and 3D data.
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.
• Curiosity, drive and intellect to understand challenging problems in depth.

Responsibilities

• Build real-time 3D computer vision components in C++ and GLSL, targeting ARM and x86.
• Write, test and benchmark modules, and own their performance and accuracy.
• Establish a clean cross-platform development setup (toolchains, testing, benchmarking and CI).
• Write and optimize demanding shader code for OpenGL and OpenGL ES.
• Accelerate CPU algorithms with SIMD (NEON and SSE/AVX).
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to optimize target devices.
