Job summary

Veo, a leader in AI-based sports camera technology, seeks an experienced engineer to develop Rust- and Python-based user-space applications on our embedded Linux platform. You will contribute to firmware architecture and cloud integrations while collaborating with AI, video processing, and cloud teams to enhance the camera system.

Based in our Copenhagen office, you will work on BLE/Wi-Fi connectivity, GATT protocols, and robust diagnostics to improve reliability and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical or software engineering.
• Experience building Rust or Python user-space applications for embedded devices.
• Experience developing software for embedded Linux systems (Yocto) including services and diagnostics.
• Experience integrating embedded systems with cloud services (REST APIs, OpenTelemetry, AWS S3).
• Experience building applications that use BLE/Wi‑Fi and GATT protocols, with mobile device communication.
• Nice to have MCU development and RTOS exposure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Rust- and Python-based user-space applications on Veo's embedded Linux camera platform.
• Contribute to firmware architecture and Linux platform engineering for the camera system.
• Build integrations with cloud services (REST APIs, OpenTelemetry, AWS S3).
• Implement wireless communication features (BLE and Wi‑Fi) for connectivity with mobile devices.
• Develop application-layer protocols (GATT, Protobuf) and data serialization.
• Collaborate with AI, video processing, and cloud teams to support the platform.
• Improve system reliability and observability through diagnostics and monitoring.
