Job summary

Veo is seeking an Android Engineer based in Copenhagen to advance our mobile app, aligning with hardware and platform ecosystems. You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to craft exceptional user experiences that power sports video capture and analysis.

You will design scalable Android features, participate in architectural discussions, and work with backend teams to define technical requirements.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong Kotlin, Android SDK, and modern architecture knowledge.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android tooling.
• Solid understanding of reactive programming using Coroutines and Flow.
• Experience building modular, maintainable, and testable codebases.
• Understanding of server-side APIs and REST principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
• High standards for code quality and architectural excellence.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality Kotlin code to deliver incremental features.
• Design and implement complex Android features with scalable architecture.
• Serve as a technical sparring partner on architectural topics.
• Collaborate with product, design and backend teams to shape requirements.
• Translate product needs into scalable technical implementations.
• Build, test, and release new versions of the Android app.
• Write automated tests to ensure quality, reliability and performance.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and address technical debt.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and development workflows.
