Job description

The Impact You'll Make

As our new Senior Development Engineer, you will play a key role in developing innovative pressure sensor solutions that help customers operate more efficiently, reliably, and sustainably. By transforming customer needs and regulatory requirements into robust products, you will help bring next-generation industrial sensing technologies from concept to reality while contributing to Danfoss' mission of enabling a connected and digital future.

Working within our R&D Pressure Technology team, you will influence the design and performance of pressure sensors used in demanding industrial applications, ensuring they meet high standards for cost, quality, reliability, and customer value.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you'll work across the entire product development lifecycle, collaborating with colleagues, suppliers, and customers to create innovative sensor solutions.

You Will
  • Lead the electrical development of industrial pressure sensors from concept through design validation, balancing performance, reliability, and cost targets
  • Design electronic hardware including schematics, prototyping and testing
  • Plan and execute design verification activities, including electrical and EMC testing, analysis of results, and documentation of findings
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across R&D, quality, process technology, product management, procurement, and external manufacturing partners
  • Translate customer applications, technical requirements, and regulatory needs into practical product solutions and continuous product improvements

You may occasionally engage directly with customers to troubleshoot technical challenges and gain deeper insight into application requirements.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, learning new technologies, and working collaboratively to create products that deliver real customer value.

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Experience working in industrial product development, preferably with electronic products or sensor technologies
  • Strong knowledge of electronic design, including schematic capture, testing, and validation
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders in an international environment
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following would be an advantage:

  • EMC testing and compliance activities
  • PCB layout as well as PCB simulation for early verification
  • Working with external suppliers, EMS providers, or contract manufacturers
  • Sensor technology, measurement systems, or industrial applications

To succeed in this role, you are naturally curious, learn quickly, communicate effectively, and maintain a strong focus on delivering results that meet performance, reliability, and cost objectives. You thrive as a team player and enjoy contributing to a collaborative, innovative environment.

What You'll Get From Us

You'll join a collaborative and inclusive team where learning, innovation, and continuous improvement are part of everyday work. Our R&D Pressure Technology team develops advanced sensing solutions that help industries embrace a more connected and sustainable future.

  • We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
  • You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
  • We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
  • You’ll receive benefits like annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they're pretty great.
