Banking Circle is seeking a Senior Development Engineer for the Core Banking Services team in Copenhagen or Warsaw. You will design and build our new core platform using .NET/C#, in an event-driven setup with Azure Event Hubs, Azure Service Bus, and AKS.

A hybrid work model is offered to balance office collaboration with flexible time. You will own design decisions, push for high throughput and uptime, and mentor teammates while maintaining high code quality and reliability.

As our new Senior Development Engineer in the Core Banking Services team in Copenhagen or Warsaw, you’ll join an open, knowledge-driven culture where people share expertise, challenge ideas constructively, and grow together. In this role, you will help design and develop our new core platform using the latest versions of .NET and C#. You will work in an event-driven environment, using Azure Event Hubs and Azure Service Bus to connect services running on Azure Kubernetes Service, while helping us build solutions that are reliable, scalable, and engineered for high throughput and uptime.

We offer a hybrid work model for our employees to allow for flexibility and productivity. However, we do expect you to spend most of your time in the office to build community and efficiency in the team.

Things we’ll look for on your resume

You bring extensive experience from a senior backend development role and deep, hands-on knowledge of .NET and C#. You have designed or operated backend solutions that process high volumes of data, with a strong focus on throughput, latency, availability, maintainability, and quality.

You have practical experience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform, relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, message queues such as Azure Service Bus, and streaming technologies such as Azure Event Hubs or Kafka. You are comfortable with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes. Experience with data contracts, enterprise messaging patterns, and NoSQL databases is an advantage.

You are proactive, responsible, and quality-oriented. You approach problems analytically and work in a structured way, while having the courage and curiosity to try new ideas. You learn quickly, seek feedback, and turn new knowledge into better solutions. You are also dependable, collaborative, and generous about sharing what you know.
