We are seeking an experienced and results-driven IT Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex retail technology projects across the Nordics and beyond. This role offers the opportunity to work in an international environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, customers, and development centers across Europe, North America, and the Middle East. As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering customer-focused solutions from project initiation through deployment, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Team

The Nordic Professional Services organization is part of a broader EMEA Professional Services team delivering innovative retail and payment solutions. We work closely with global development centers and implementation teams to provide tailored software and technology solutions that help customers optimize their retail operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership & Delivery Lead end-to-end implementation of complex IT and retail projects from planning through deployment and rollout. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Monitor project performance and ensure timely delivery against agreed objectives. Manage multiple projects and project teams simultaneously.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Commercial & Financial Management Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs), project proposals, and associated documentation. Develop and manage project financials, including budgets and profit and loss (P&L). Support contract discussions, negotiations, and commercial planning activities.
  • Team Coordination & Collaboration Coordinate activities across software development, implementation, and support teams. Foster collaboration among geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams. Align project execution with global Project Management Office (PMO) standards and methodologies.
  • Risk, Quality & Process Improvement Identify and mitigate project risks and issues. Ensure adherence to quality standards and project governance processes. Analyze business processes and recommend improvements that enhance customer outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Sales & Pre-Sales Support Support sales initiatives through customer presentations and solution discussions. Contribute technical and business expertise during proposal development. Present products, solutions, and implementation approaches to customers and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience Required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing IT projects.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects within customer-facing environments.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • PRINCE2 certification or an equivalent project management qualification.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working with budgets, project financials, and profitability management.
  • Ability to effectively engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Professional-level English communication skills, both spoken and written.
Preferred Experience
  • In the retail industry, particularly within Point-of-Sale (POS) environments.
  • Knowledge of retail technology solutions and software implementation projects.
  • Experience managing international projects and multicultural teams.
  • Strong presentation and customer engagement skills.
