Qualifications

• Solid experience in modern Data Engineering and Lakehouse architectures at enterprise scale.
• Hands-on Databricks, Apache Spark and cloud-based data platforms experience.
• Strong Python (PySpark) and SQL programming for robust, maintainable data solutions.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, governance, and scalable platform design.
• Experience optimizing large-scale data workloads for performance, reliability, and cost.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable medallion architecture pipelines (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Develop and optimize Spark and Databricks workloads for performance and cost efficiency.
• Lead performance tuning using techniques like Z-Ordering, photon, and partitioning strategies.
• Implement governance, security, and data lineage via Unity Catalog.
• Enable self-service analytics for business users across the organization.
• Automate deployments through CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) and Terraform.
