Job summary

MAP | WPP Enterprise Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Insights and Science team. You will design and optimize data pipelines across cloud platforms, enabling 1:1 marketing analytics and CRM-driven insights for leading brands.

Bring hands-on experience with Spark, Python, SQL, and cloud data warehousing. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product owners to ensure data quality, governance, and scalable analytics solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in Spark, Python, Scala, or similar.
• Excellent SQL skills enabling large-scale data transformation and analysis.
• Comprehensive understanding of cloud data warehousing, data pipelines and data transformation (ETL).
• Experience with cloud-based data infrastructures (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable).
• Expertise in managing databases, including performance tuning, backup and recovery.
• Knowledge of data quality practices: profiling, cleansing, validation.
• Familiarity with visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker) for data modeling.
• GitHub versioning for dbt models and transformations.
• Knowledge of data governance principles, policies, and practices.
• Kubernetes knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, collect, and integrate data from various sources by building high-quality data pipelines and data models for analytics and BI.
• Develop and optimize code to enable pipelines at minimum cost and ease of maintenance.
• Build monitoring procedures and tools to ensure solid ETL flows and data quality.
• Design processes and tools to correct ETL incidents.
• Collaborate with CRM developers, data scientists, data analysts, and product owners to ensure the supplied data supports business initiatives.
• Consult analytics teams to ensure best practices on the technical use of data.
• Design data architectures and collaborate on data migrations in cloud environments.
