Descripción del empleo

Lead the delivery. Build client trust. Shape the energy transition.

Do you combine strong construction management skills with a commercial mindset and a passion for delivering complex infrastructure projects? Do you know how to turn plans into successful project execution while creating value for clients, partners, and the business?

At COWI, we are looking for a Senior Construction Manager in District Heating to join our team of 20 dedicated professionals in Lyngby. In this role you will report to Malik Basoda, Head of Discipline Energy Plants and Infrastructure. Furthermore, you will play a key part in delivering district heating projects that support the green transition while strengthening our position as a trusted partner in the energy market.

Turn project expertise into business value

As Senior Construction Manager you will take ownership of construction management across district heating projects, ensuring that solutions are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

You will work closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and colleagues to create successful project outcomes — balancing technical excellence with commercial performance and client satisfaction.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading construction management activities for district heating projects, from planning and tendering through execution and handover.
  • Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to create additional value.
  • Managing contractors, site activities, schedules, budgets, risks, quality, and health and safety.
  • Supporting tender preparation, estimating, contract management, and commercial negotiations.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and contributing to the growth of COWI’s district heating portfolio.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring effective collaboration across projects.
  • Sharing your experience and mentoring colleagues to strengthen the team's capabilities.
Your skills. Your commercial mindset. Our shared ambition.

We are looking for a senior professional who understands that successful construction management is about more than delivering on time and on budget. It is about understanding the client’s needs, anticipating challenges, managing risk, and creating lasting value.

On top of that you bring:

  • Significant experience in construction management, preferably within district heating, energy infrastructure, utilities, or other complex civil engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, contractor management, planning, cost control, and contract administration.
  • A commercial and market-oriented mindset, with the ability to understand client priorities and translate them into business opportunities.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to make decisions and drive progress.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work across disciplines and organisations.
  • A relevant technical education or equivalent practical experience.
  • Professional proficiency in Danish and English, appropriate to the projects and clients you will support.
A place to work and so much more.
