Job description

Do you want to contribute to create healthy, energy‑efficient, and sustainable buildings? Do you have experience in indoor climate design and energy optimization for complex building projects? Perhaps you have just a few years of experience or perhaps you are a senior specialist - the important thing is that you are motivated to apply your expertise and curiosity to develop solutions that enable a better tomorrow.
Turn challenges into sustainable solutions

At COWI, we help our clients create attractive, comfortable, and sustainable buildings through energy optimization, indoor climate design, and daylight analysis. To grow our team, we are looking for a Specialist in Energy, Indoor Climate and Daylight to join our growing group of approximately 30 colleagues. Together, we work on exciting and complex projects across the building, industrial, pharmaceutical, and transformation sectors.

In this position, you will become part of an established, highly collaborative professional environment across COWI and Arkitema. We deliver energy calculations, indoor climate simulations, daylight analyses, and sustainability advisory services.

You will work closely with experts across multiple disciplines on both new‑build projects and the transformation of existing buildings. Our interdisciplinary collaboration is one of our greatest advantages, enabling us to continuously raise the bar for sustainability across the industry

Your key activities will be:
  • Contribute to the design and optimization of energy‑efficient, healthy, and sustainable buildings for both new construction and renovation projects.
  • Carry out energy, indoor climate, and daylight simulations and analyses using tools such as IES VE, Rhino/Grasshopper, and similar software.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, sustainability specialists, and clients to develop integrated design solutions.
  • Support project managers and discipline leads in delivering high‑quality technical solutions.
  • Participate in technical development and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Contribute to innovation and the continuous improvement of our methods, tools, and services.
  • Depending on your experience, take responsibility for smaller assignments or specific technical work packages within larger projects.
Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future

The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. You should also be open to new perspectives and continuously seek opportunities to learn, innovate, and improve.

On top of that, you will:
  • Have at least three years of experience in indoor climate simulations, building performance analysis, and/or energy optimization within construction, building operations, or industry.
  • Have experience working on projects in Denmark and be familiar with Danish building regulations.
  • Be comfortable managing your own tasks while making a contribution to multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Have professional proficiency in at least one Scandinavian language, both written and spoken.
  • Take a collaborative and professional approach to working with colleagues, clients, and business partners.
  • Demonstrate high integrity and a willingness to share knowledge and support the professional development of others.
