Job summary

Marsh Denmark is seeking a Senior Client Executive to lead a portfolio of international insurance clients from Copenhagen. You will understand client business, exposures and risks, translating them into tailored, data-driven solutions in collaboration with Marsh’s specialist teams.

You will drive new business development and account growth, while handling renewals and placements with insurers, balancing client needs with Marsh’s risk advisory capabilities.

Role Description

Marsh Denmark is hiring a Senior Client Executive within Insurance to join our Risk Management team in Copenhagen. This opportunity is built for someone who understands clients deeply - their business, their exposures, and the risks that keep them up at night - and who translates that understanding into data-driven, tailor-made solutions. You'll manage a portfolio of complex, often global clients - getting under the skin of their risk exposure, questioning the easy answers, and building strategies that actually move the needle for them. You'll work in close collaboration with the largest specialist broking team in Denmark, giving you direct access to deep technical expertise whenever a client's challenge calls for it. This role is ideal for a commercially minded professional who sees new business and day-to-day client advisory as two sides of the same opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of international clients, balancing new business development with retention, client satisfaction and account growth.
• Represent Marsh at industry events and conferences, expanding your network and staying close to the market.
• Identify, analyse and assess potential risks, recommending mitigation strategies for complex and global clients.
• Lead renewal and placement strategies, negotiations and presentations to clients and insurers.
• Get genuinely close to your clients' businesses so you can spot what they actually need, then include our specialist teams to create the right solution.
• Go after new business in your target segments - this role rewards people who pick up the phone rather than wait for leads to land.

What You Need To Have

• A solid track record in insurance, risk advisory or brokerage - ideally you've a commercial mindset combined with day-to-day client management tasks
• Fluent in both Danish and English, spoken and written.
• A strong sense of professional integrity, and clients who feel genuinely looked after by you.
• A knack for building relationships - with clients, but also across our own internal teams.
• Experience winning new business, plus solid footing in negotiation and renewal/placement work.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience from a large broker, insurer, or in a risk management role handling international, complex risks.
• You're the type who brings data into client conversations, not just opinions.
• An advanced degree or professional certification in risk management/Insurance (IDD Licence).
