Job summary

Venture Up in Copenhagen is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and optimise the systems that power live trading, working with quants and traders.

You will implement and optimise financial algorithms, engineer the infrastructure, and tackle performance challenges in a high‑intensity environment. Join a team of 25 engineers with a flat hierarchy and autonomy, in a hybrid harbourfront office with strong team spirit.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with C#.
• Working knowledge of (T)SQL.
• Solid grasp of algorithms and data structures and when to apply them.
• Nice to have: experience with low latency systems, exposure to C, C++, Python or Matlab, SQL Server tuning, or a PhD/MSc in CS.

Responsibilities

• Build the Algorithms – Implement, verify and optimise the financial algorithms that drive live trading decisions.
• Engineer the Infrastructure – Create the tooling that supports analysis of new algorithms and execution of existing ones.
