Job summary

Veo, a global leader in AI‑based sports camera technology, is seeking a senior backend engineer to evolve the Revenue Platform. You will scale backend services in Rust, strengthen workflows, and shape the OpenAPI‑first API to empower internal teams and partners.

You will collaborate with Finance, Sales and Product to align business logic with real operations. You will own production quality: observability, incident response, data migrations, and robust integrations with billing, payments, CRM,

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a software engineer, with significant backend experience.
• Backend experience using Python, Rust, or another comparable language; production Rust is ideal.
• Experience in revenue‑critical domains such as billing, subscriptions, payments, or financial systems.
• Strong API design skills and experience integrating with third‑party APIs that aren’t always reliable.
• Experience building distributed systems where correctness under failure matters.

Responsibilities

• Evolve and scale backend services in Rust that process real revenue: orders, subscriptions, invoicing, payments and provisioning.
• Strengthen Temporal workflows so they are reliable, idempotent and safe to change, through versioning and replay.
• Shape the Revenue Platform API into a clear, OpenAPI‑first product for internal adoption.
• Improve integrations with billing, payment, CRM, ERP and logistics providers, handling failure modes.
• Turn ambiguous commercial requirements into correct, well‑documented business logic.
• Own production: observability, alerting, incident response, and data migrations affecting thousands of accounts.
• Incorporate modern AI development tools to iterate quickly and build thoughtful software solutions.
• Set technical direction for the platform’s next phase via design/code reviews and testing.
