Connected Cars is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design and implement scalable APIs and backend services. You will own code from development to production monitoring, collaborating with engineering teams and external stakeholders on technical integrations.

The role emphasizes autonomy, mentorship, and delivering high-quality, test-driven code in a modern stack (Node.js/TypeScript, Kubernetes, MySQL, BigQuery) on Google Cloud Platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend experience building scalable systems.
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Relational databases experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and big data handling.
• Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong cross-functional communication with stakeholders.
• Autonomy, problem-solving, and curiosity to explore new solutions.
• Commitment to high-quality code, TDD, CI/CD, and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build robust APIs, backend services, and databases.
• Own code from development to production monitoring (Grafana, Cloud Monitoring).
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on integrations and requirements.
