Job summary

Lunar Denmark is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for the Money Core squads based in Aarhus, reporting to the Director of Technology - Core Banking, working to build out our domestic payments universe and power banking at Lunar.

We’re looking for 4+ years of backend experience, with distributed systems and event-driven architecture know-how. Golang is a plus, and you’ll work with a cross-functional team in a fast-moving Nordic challenger bank.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong background in distributed systems and event-driven design.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork.
• Experience with Go (Golang) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of critical banking domains, developing and maintaining the systems that keep our banking products running on a solid, reliable foundation.
• Integrate with external partners to extend and strengthen what our platform can do.
• Keep our systems highly available and resilient, while looking for new ways to make the customer experience better.
• Explore how AI can enhance the banking experience for our customers, from first idea to production.
• Share what you know and help the people around you grow, while staying open to learning from them too.
