Job summary

Relewise is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to evolve our core platform in Aarhus, with hybrid work options. You will design features for the search and recommendation engine, review AI-generated code, and drive performance, scalability and reliability.

Collaboration with the CTO and Lead Engineer is central, and AI-driven development shapes daily tasks. You will work with C#/.NET, contribute to architecture decisions, and help maintain a robust backend capable of handling high throughput

Qualifications

Production backend experience with high throughput and low latency.
Experience with software architecture and domain modelling; apply SOLID, KISS and YAGNI pragmatically.
Willingness to embrace AI throughout the development process and explain decisions clearly.
Fluent in English; Danish is a bonus.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver features across the core search and recommendation engine, directing groups of coding agents as your own development team.
Review code, both human-written and AI-generated, and join the Last Defense reviewers for production readiness.
Improve performance, scalability and resilience using profiling and production evidence.
Own changes through deployment and maintenance; investigate incidents to find root causes and prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and CTO on design and the technical roadmap; improve tooling, documentation and AI workflows.
