Job summary

Alfa Laval Mid Europe GmbH is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer in Søborg, Denmark. You will design, program and develop automation systems for industrial processes, often in complex environments, and help standardize software structures across projects.

You will collaborate with DevOps and IoT/cloud experts to bridge traditional automation with modern software engineering, mentor colleagues, and contribute to continuous improvement. Fluent English is expected in a diverse, international team.

Qualifications

• Experience in automation engineering for industrial processes.
• Proficiency with PLC programming in both B&R and Siemens.
• Strong coding skills in C (especially for B&R).
• Willingness to embrace CI/CD and modern software workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and program control systems for automated industrial processes.
• Work with Siemens and B&R platforms to deliver robust, maintainable code.
• Collaborate with DevOps and IoT/cloud experts to bridge automation and software engineering.
• Champion modern development practices: Git, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor and support colleagues, fostering knowledge sharing and learning.
• Contribute to standardization of automation + software structures and troubleshooting.
