Job summary

JYSK is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to develop scalable AI solutions bridging software engineering and machine learning. You will lead model development, deployment, and operations to create robust, reusable AI products.

You will work with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS), build MLOps pipelines, and advance Retrieval-Augmented Generation and semantic search to improve business processes across the company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with AI at scale.
• Proficient in Python and ML algorithms for NLP/vision.
• Experience deploying and monitoring AI models on cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and scale end-to-end AI applications and MLOps pipelines.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI agent systems from orchestration to production deployment.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and semantic search solutions.
• Research and experiment with state-of-the-art AI models across NLP, vision, and generative models to improve business processes.
• Collaborate with data, AI, and platform engineers to integrate models into AI products.
• Manage AI workloads on cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS) to ensure performance and efficiency.
• Work with architects on AI solution design and participate in planning phases.
• Support end-users with a 'you build it, you own it' mindset.

WHAT YOUR NEXT JOB WILL BE ABOUT

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing AI solutions that drive innovation, enable data-driven decision-making, improve operations, and enhance customer experiences. You will bridge software engineering and machine learning, focusing on model experimentation, deployment, and integration to create scalable, efficient, and reusable solutions.

Your tasks and responsibilities in the job include:

• Develop and scale end-to-end AI applications and MLOps pipelines using your deep software engineering background.
• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI agent systems, from orchestration and tool integration to production deployment and monitoring.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, embedding workflows, and semantic search solutions where appropriate.
• Research, experiment with, and develop classical and state-of-the-art AI models across NLP, Computer Vision, Deep Generative Models, Graph Neural Networks, and Reinforcement Learning to improve and optimize JYSK’s business processes.
• Collaborate closely with data, AI, and platform engineers on complex projects to integrate cutting-edge models into impactful AI products.
• Managing AI workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ensure optimal performance and resource efficiency.
• Working with architects to refine AI solution design and contributing to solution planning phases.
• Supporting end-users of AI solutions with a "you build it, you own it" mindset.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING

We are looking for a new colleague who:

• Holds a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. A PhD is considered an advantage.
• Has 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering, designing and implementing AI solutions at scale using Python.
• Has a strong foundation in machine learning algorithms, with experience spanning both discriminative and generative models applied to structured data, natural language, and vision.
• Has experience developing, deploying, operating, and monitoring AI models in production at scale, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (or equivalent experience with Azure or AWS and a willingness to work with GCP).
• Has hands‑on experience in one of the following areas: Building AI agents at scale integrated with advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems. Pre‑training, fine‑tuning, or post‑training large language models (LLMs). Developing and deploying state‑of‑the‑art generative AI solutions for computer vision in real‑world environments.
• Works independently on complex technical challenges while collaborating effectively with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
