Job summary

Saxo seeks a Security Architect for Application Security to enhance the security of applications, platforms and delivery pipelines. You will work with developers, architects and security professionals to embed security across the SDLC and deliver secure, resilient solutions.

You will lead security reviews, threat modelling, vulnerability remediation, and the deployment of SAST/DAST/SCA, API and container security tools. Collaboration across teams is essential to improve security posture.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
• Understanding of secure software development principles and application security concepts.
• Knowledge of common application security risks and guidance like OWASP, CWE, and secure-by-design practices.
• Experience with modern development practices, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and software delivery processes.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Go.
• Ability to analyze security findings and communicate recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive integration of security into software development processes, platforms, and engineering practices.
• Perform application security reviews, threat modelling, and security assessments of new and existing solutions.
• Work with development teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities and design weaknesses.
• Contribute to implementation and operation of application security capabilities (SAST, DAST, SCA, API Security, Container Security).
• Provide guidance on secure software design and secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
• Help define and maintain application security standards, guidelines, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Support vulnerability management processes, reporting, risk assessments, and remediation tracking.
• Contribute to developer enablement through training, workshops and security awareness activities.
• Evaluate emerging technologies including AI-assisted development and application security solutions.
• Monitor developments in application security, frameworks, and threat landscapes to improve practices.

About The Job

As a Security Architect for Application Security, you will play a key role in improving the security of applications, development platforms, and software delivery processes. You will work closely with developers, architects, platform engineers, and security professionals to integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle and support the delivery of secure and resilient solutions.

The role combines technical expertise, security advisory, and practical implementation. You will contribute to application security architecture, security tooling, secure development practices, vulnerability management, and developer enablement initiatives. You will also support the secure adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development and modern cloud-native platforms.

The position is based at our headquarters in Denmark.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of secure software development principles and application security concepts.
• Familiarity with common application security risks and industry guidance such as OWASP, CWE, and secure-by-design practices.
• Knowledge of modern development practices, CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and software delivery processes.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar.
• Ability to analyze security findings and communicate recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.
